Vancouver, Canada – JA British Columbia (JABC) will host the Techworks Virtual Conference on the vFairs event technology platform from December 6-8 , 2022. The event will attract educators and high school students and introduce them to the vast career opportunities in British Columbia’s tech sector and beyond. The theme for this year’s virtual conference is Technology for Good and the conference will explore how technological knowledge affects daily life and how we can use it for the better.
TechWorks will be a multi-modular event, with the virtual portion happening from 6-8 December, 2022 and the in-person event returning in February, 2023. This is the first time the event is planned to take place virtually in a highly interactive and life-like virtual platform.
Students from grades 9-12 all across British Columbia will get a chance to connect with professionals who work in the technology industry. The event aims to boost work readiness and help them plan their roadmap successfully for the jobs of the future.
The virtual conference will help students gain the necessary knowledge about technology related careers through interactive vendor booths, panel discussions, and guest speaker sessions. The moderators and speakers at the event will cover important topics like software development, engineering, AI, green technology, biotech, and medtech.
